Episode 1: Hello Hello 2008!

Hey there everyone! I have been such a bad blogger lately. I’m incredibly ashamed of myself. It’s just that work has been biting my buns and by the time I get home, all I want to do is have a quick bite and sleep. I shouldn’t complain though because my work is what pays for my food. I should count my blessings. =)

I thought that for 2008, I should start up with a different format. Since I am so spent after each workday and will probably not have the time or energy to eat out, I might branch out to other foodie-related things like books, games, etc. It’s a new year, and a new way of looking at things is in order. I am also going to start each “episode” with an introduction of some sorts that will give a sneak peak of what is to follow. When I blog, I usually do a couple at a time because I’m not a DAILY blogger. So I think this will be good. =) So much has happened in the last 2-3 weeks, and I am so excited to write about them.

I will do some of my “branching out” in this episode with a post about an addictive game called, “Cooking Mama.” If this cute Asian momma got me hooked, she will get you hooked, too! Get ready to make some food…which you can’t eat. =( I think that’s the only downside. Get your game on here.

I made a list about restaurant behavior. I am seriously annoyed of people who do not know how to behave in a restaurant. I mean, what has your mother taught you? Nothing?! People sometimes forget that a restaurant is a PUBLIC place. I guess it’s just me ranting. Curious? Read my list here.

Random Tidbit:

Tyler Florence is opening a restaurant in San Francisco! Oh my dear goodness gracious. He is…beyond words. Eye candy who knows how to make his own candy? C’mon. Just stick a dope-filled syringe directly through my happy glands why don‘t you? This summer it’s set to open at the York Hotel (otherwise known as the Vertigo Hotel)! You can count on me being there!

Happy 24th birthday (01/19) to Dwin, aka “Dad.” Okay, so he’s really NOT my dad. He’s a dear friend who took care of me through a lot of my hard times in college. I miss going to Superstar with you and ordering $3 Filipino breakfasts!

To my readers! You guys are the best! I write because I am otherwise too chicken to vocalize it, but thank you for spending your time here, no matter how short or long your visits are. I appreciate every single one of you. Now, if you would only let me know who you guys are! Leave me a note or a comment or something and do not be a stranger!

Conclusion:

I haven’t eaten out much in the last couple of months because I have been battling a cold. It’s this darn San Francisco weather and my poor immune system. I seem to have a constant taste of Halls cough drops on my tongue. Hopefully I’ll be back to my normal self by the next episode. Till then, happy eating everyone!
