To My Folks in the Philippines and Hong Kong!
Hey hey hey!
So I am planning to visit the Philippines again in March. This will be Bub's first time going and we are excited to finally get out of the country together. We will be staying at the Renaissance Hotel in Makati on our last two days of the trip as we are staying mainly in the province to spend time with my grandparents.
I think our hotel is on Esperanza. I was wondering where we can get some good food around that area.
I seriously cannot wait!
Also, we are stopping over in Hong Kong for a couple of hours. So what exactly is Hong Kong-style food? I know that it's different from Chinese food. Oh yeah, I am "celebrating" my birthday on the airplane and in Hong Kong...even only for those two hours.
So what's good?
=)
Thanks!

Have fun! We were just in Makati for two weeks during Christmas and we had a blast. We stayed in Manila Peninsula and Mandarin Oriental which are on Makati Avenue. I couldn't quite figure out where the Renaissance is in relation but it looks like you are right near Greenbelt Mall which has a ton of eateries. We ate at two: Sugi (Japanese) and People's Palace (Thai). Frankly, regardless of the cuisine you crave, you'll find it in Manila/Makati! But check out josephqt's blog, Recados Filipinos - he might have some good suggestions.
Bon voyage! And I hope you'll share your food adventures with us when you return.
