I Was a Cooking Machine Today

*posting via mobile device in bed* the title says it all. ate di and cuzzin jenn came over to spend the day with, SAM, neicey-poo jayla, and i. lots of fun. ate di prepared spanish rice and ground meat with onions and cumin for tacos, as well as the acoutrements. jenn helped me with fresh pico de gallo and balsamic marinated grilled portobello mushrooms which we chilled. i made a quiche with bacon, broccoli, and cheese, as well as a 6-layer rainbow cake for cuzzin star and auntie lolit for tomorrow. when i say "rainbow" that means each layer is a different color. it was so fun playing with the food coloring. we also fried up some lumpiang shanghai, grilled some hot links, and boiled/pan-fried chedderwurst. HEFFAS! im not even playing...all this for just us four. we watched "he's just not that into you" and ate some ice cream too. i should be eating salad for the rest of the week. its almost 2 am and i am beat. another eventful day tomorrow. i am hoping that everyone out there is having a fabulous weekend! ~jo
