Jo is a Bozo

So I put my camera's memory stick into the card slot of my Acer Aspire-1 without the adapter.

It got stuck.

I panicked. How the hell was I going to get my pictures from last night onto the computer?

I tried using tweezers. Didn't work. Tried using a pen and pushing it down so that maybe the spring mechanism inside would launch the memory stick out of there. Didn't work.

I was desparate, so I Googled:
"How to get a stuck memory card out of acer aspire-1?"

P.S. I stuck in the memory stick without the adapter again. No, I haven't learned my lesson. I guess the reason why I did it again was that I now have a rescue plan.
